Announcing the finalists for the 2025 DAU Awards

The DAU Awards return for another year to recognize creative, artistic and communicative talent in the world of board games. These awards, which will be presented at a gala on Friday, November 14th in the evening at SAT! Sant Andreu Teatre , celebrate the work of the people and teams who, throughout the year, have contributed significantly to the growth and dissemination of the game as a cultural expression and tool for coexistence.

In this edition, an international jury made up of award winners from previous editions and independent professionals from the sector, has selected three finalists for each of the main categories: Best Author of the Year, Best New Author of the Year, Best Game Artist and Best Game Promotion; valuing their originality, creative contribution and capacity to impact the gaming community.

In addition, the Honorary Award ‘A Life Dedicated to Board Games’ has also been named, which will recognize Carol Rapp, CEO of Merz Verlag and head of the SPIEL Essen fair, for her career of more than twenty years in the gaming and toy sector. The jury wanted to highlight her work in renewing and opening the event, as well as her ability to connect creativity, management and strategic vision, key elements in the growth and cultural consolidation of the gaming world.
