Schools in the DAU
This activity is exclusive to schools and institutes.
Attendance requires prior registration.
On November 13th and 14th, the DAU Barcelona Festival opens its doors to schools and high schools with a unique proposal that turns gaming into an educational experience. During 90-minute segments, students will experience gaming as a learning tool, discovering new ways of thinking, communicating and collaborating.
This activity is part of ABJ (Game-Based Learning), a methodology that uses games as a pedagogical resource to work on values, competencies and skills in an experiential and meaningful way. Through active participation in board games, students not only play, but also learn to make decisions, solve problems and develop critical thinking, in addition to reinforcing essential functions such as attention, working memory, planning and self-regulation.
The activity is free and is aimed at upper primary school (5th and 6th grades) and secondary school. It is an opportunity for schools to experience first-hand the potential of play in the classroom and for teachers to discover resources that they can integrate into their daily lives.
