The DAU Barcelona Festival Professional Congress celebrates its second edition this year to consolidate itself as a reference meeting point for board game professionals, offering a space for connection, dialogue and exchange between publishers, designers, artists, distributors and institutions. The aim is to encourage reflection on sector trends and explore opportunities in a growing market on a local and global scale, as well as strengthen connections, explore collaborations and establish links with sector agents at the national and international level.

The 2025 edition focuses on three complementary thematic lines: Talent, Industry and Academy, combining conferences, round tables and practical workshops with networking spaces. This format allows for the generation of shared knowledge, the creation of new alliances and a deeper understanding of the professional and educational perspectives of the board game.

This year, the Professional Congress will take place on Thursday 13th and Friday 14th November.

Pitch Lab Academia

The Pitch Lab Academy is a new platform dedicated to the presentation of early-stage research projects on board games and gaming as a cultural, educational and social practice.

The objective is to give visibility to doctoral students and researchers or independent researchers who want to share their work, receive feedback and establish connections with the academic community and the professional sector.
